Eco-cleaning company Cleantec Innovation is set to move to Discovery Park Enterprise Zone, Sandwich, after reporting a period of sustained growth. It will make the move to the former Pfizer site next month after outgrowing its previous facilities in Broadstairs.

The company, which exports to more than 30 countries, produces cleaning products that are biodegradable and environmentally friendly for both domestic and commercial use.

Discovery Park is situated in a prime location with easy access to the main road network. With Enterprise Zone status it benefits  from Business Rates relief, simplified planning processes, superfast broadband and access to Expansion East Kent interest-free loans.

Asone of the largest business parks in Europe, its specialist focus on science and technology has enabled it to create a unique platform for emerging and established companies in the fields of biotechnology, life sciencepharmaceuticals, research and development , science and technology.

The site offers a diverse range of services – from laboratories to incubator space, specialist niche manufacturing and research and development facilities to warehouse units and general commercial office space.

Paul Barber is manager of the site which now houses 22 companies employing around 1,000 people. He said:

“The sheer quality of the space we have is shown by the fact that when visiting professors walk around our labs their jaws drop.

“These facilities are available at a fraction of what they once cost to build.”
