Northampton has come top in a poll on leading places to do business in England.

Finance data specialists, Experian, reported that the town scored top marks for business turnover growth, as well as having high company start-up rates and low insolvency rates.

Experian’s report also praised the financial strength of businesses in the town. 

Councillor David Mackintosh, leader of Northampton Borough Council , said  “Our compelling package of business support, coupled with the Northampton Waterside Enterprise Zone’s popularity with businesses, has helped create the perfect environment for firms to locate, invest and thrive.”
