Aerohub Newquay Enterprise Zone revealed today the details of the new aircraft hangar to be built at Newquay Airport.  The hangar, available to be purchased off plan, can accommodate two Boeings 737/A320. A smaller two bay hangar option is also available and includes office accommodation and parking.

The hangars will be located on England’s only aerospace Enterprize Zone, situated on a state-of-the-art civilian airport.  The state of the art hangars will have direct airside access to one of the UK’s longest runways at 2744m.

Construction is ready to commence immediately upon contract signing. The Enterprise Zone is covered by simplified planning permissions that enable extensive commercial development opportunities with no planning costs or fees as well as business rate tax breaks.

The hangar plans are to be marketed at the Dubai Airshow, the Middle East’s leading aerospace event, between 17-21 November 2013.

Al Titterington, Managing Director, Newquay Cornwall Airport said:

“We anticipate significant interest in this new facility when it is marketed at the ‘Aerospace In Cornwall’ stand at the Dubai Airshow.  Aerohub is an ideal choice for aerospace companies looking for operational freedom in which to develop and grow. This space is testament to the fact that Aerohub is quickly becoming Europe’s premier aerospace destination.”

The Enterprise Zone provides aerospace businesses a unique environment to grow.  Besides providing excellent connectivity to the rest of the UK and Europe, it includes large areas of hard-standing and hangars, and benefits from the uncongested and unrestricted airspace in the region and a diverse aviation environment.  Major employers in the area include AgustaWestland, Weston Aviation, British International Helicopter, Classic Air Force and Bloodhound Super Sonic Car.
