Accessibility

We want to ensure this website can be used effectively by all users, and have made efforts to ensure that the core content on this website can be accessed by as many people as possible, on whatever devices they are using. Our aim is to:

  • deliver the same information and the same general functionality to all users regardless of the platform used to access them
  • support multi-modal access (eg text equivalents of video/audio)
  • facilitate customisation (eg freedom to apply user stylesheets)

We use automated tools to help identify potential accessibility problems with the website, and follow good practice where it exists, for example in ensuring that alternative formats exist for images, that page templates are well-structured for navigation and that functionality does not depend on use of a mouse. We encourage you to get in touch with us if you identify accessibility problems.

Much of the internet, particularly rich social media applications, remains not fully accessible to all users . We have aimed to choose third-party partners and tools with the aim of providing useful information and features, accessible to as many people as possible, while ensuring core content is accessible to all. In addition, we will endeavour to support emerging standards such as WAI-ARIA as these become available, and where it is feasible to do so.

If you wish to provide any feedback concerning the accessibility of this site as a whole or would like to know more about how we are working to make the site accessible, please contact us.
