Located on the rail and road transport spine of the country, with easy access to all corners of the country, Alconbury Campus lies between the global innovation hub of Cambridge and the environmental services cluster of Peterborough. The Campus is part of a wider development which includes homes, schools, retail and community facilities as well as a major transport hub.
Businesses who have located to Alconbury Enterprise Campus include: Mole Solutions who are developing underground freight solutions to 21st-century logistics; University of Cambridge green tech spin-out Enval; and water technology innovators Aquavent UK. Alconbury has also been announced as the home for a new engineering test centre for the Welding Institute that will allow full-scale testing and validation in support of a range of industry sectors.
Launched in January 2014, Alconbury’s flagship Incubator building provides flexible and bespoke space for small businesses, and has already won one architectural award and is in the running for two more. With a further £10 million of investment planned over the next six months to create a further 70 acres for new businesses, Alconbury is becoming an established part of the dynamic Cambridgeshire economy.
