Boost for Manchester Enterprise Zone as ‘Airport City’ plan to create 11,400 jobs is granted planning approval

Manchester City Council has granted planning permission for a new £650 million  business district at Manchester Airport, which forms part of the Manchester Airport City Enterprise Zone. Airport operators Manchester Airport Group (MAG) will commence the construction and enabling works for a new spine road in March, which will serve the new business district. This will provide easy access to the motorway network.

 

M.A.G’s Airport City Director, John Atkins, said:

“The planning approval is a major milestone, underlining the progress made in the last twelve months and enables us to progress to the delivery stage in 2013, driving forward opportunities to attract investment and create jobs.”
