Durable Technologies Limited, a designer of energy efficient lighting systems, has moved into Queens Meadow Business Park in Hartlepool, one of twelve sites comprising the Tees Valley Enterprise Zone.

The award-winning firm will see the size of their premises quadruple to 2,400 sq ft. The incentives offered in Enterprise Zones, including low business rates and simplified planning, were a key attraction for the company as it seeks to expand its product range and grow their business.

Company Director Alex Carter said:

“In the current economic climate, support for businesses is so important and the Enterprise Zone incentives will help us enormously to grow the business.

“Over the next five years we aim to increase our workforce from four to thirteen and we are confident of breaking into new markets. The Enterprise Zone assistance will also enable the company to expand its product range by investing more in research and development.”
